Perform support functions to facilitate the safe, efficient and high quality completion of Bi-Con Services building division projects.
Promote the companies safety culture.
Participate in daily huddles and safety meetings.
Safely use, maintain and store all tools and material used in the course of work.
Assist superintendent, foreman and/or craftsman with various construction activities. Tasks include but are not limited to; demolition, concrete, rough & finish carpentry, drywall, material receipt and installation, etc.
Assist operators with excavation activities. Tasks include but are not limited to; hand excavation, hand backfill, compaction, line locating and excavation spotting.
Install and maintain erosion and sedimentation control devices.
Install safety control measures such as safety fence.
Perform fire watch as needed.
Organize office and tool trailers.
Other duties as assigned, to include general labor dutie
General knowledge of construction activities.
Willingness and desire to learn commercial/industrial construction.
Construction Training or Vocational Education a plus.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
This is a field position and requires partial travel.
This position is subjected to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
